Sure, I can tell you! I'm not sure how everyone else does it, but this is how I do it.

Alrighty! ^O^
I'll explain using photoshop, because that's what I use.

1. You have your manga image; coloured and whatnot.

2. On the photoshop panel, the 3rd selection, there should be something called the Lasso Tool.

3. Click and hold down until 3 other options show. The Lasso Tool, Polygonal Tool and Magnetic Lasso tool.

4. Choose the Polygonal tool. Because it is polygonal, you can only create straight lines.

5. Using this tool, outline your manga image. You click if you want to turn an edge or corner.

6. When you are done, double click, and the lines should be dashed and moving. (------)

7. Witn the dashed lines still moving, right click on the image you have outlined, and select "Cut" and the image should be cut out.

8. With the image still cut, delete the remaining bits.

9. Then paste, and you should have your image. ^^

This is so cool! I love every aspect of it! I have a question though, how do you get the white outline around Eiri? I've been a bit puzzled trying to figure that out for a while! :)
